My Word is based in Stavanger, the centre of the Norwegian oil industry. In addition to our many clients throughout the country, we also work closely with the local business community. My Word regards translation as both an art and a science. The art of translation is in finding the correct balance between the literal and stylistic interpretations of a text - and in adapting it to local culture and conditions, where necessary. The science of translation is in the application of quality control through rigorous, independent proofreading. The proofreader will make comparisons between the source and target texts, check grammar, spelling, structure and general layout. Only after intense and comprehensive scrutiny will a text be passed as ready for delivery to the client.
